Re: Case No. GNR-E-22-01
In the Matter of Commission Staff’s Application to Update Inputs to the “Surrogate
Avoided Resource” Method Avoided Cost Rates
Dear Ms. Noriyuki:
Idaho Power Company (“Company”) has received the letter and attachments from Commission
Staff dated June 8, 2022, advising the Company of the updated avoided cost rates for qualifying
facilities using the surrogate avoided resource (“SAR”) method, which have been recalculated as
instructed in Order No. 35422 to reflect Idaho Power’s most recent capacity deficiency date as
approved in Case No. IPC-E-21-09, Order No. 35415. Idaho Power has reviewed the information
and agrees that Staff has correctly updated and calculated the SAR avoided cost rates for Idaho
Power using the Commission-approved method and in conformance with Order No. 35415.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Camille Christen
