I would like to state my support for any and all renewable energy sources that we can use in
Idaho. I am tired of the anti-wind PR campaign being waged by Idaho Power that is being paid
for by their customers. Of course it will cost more money, but what is the cost of not
finding alternatives to nuclear, coal fired, or natural gas? Long term we need to address
this issue, and if Idaho Power won't do it, then the PUC needs to take a leading role. It is
the smart thing to do. I used to audit Idaho Power for Deloitte and Touche. Trust me, they
could cut lots of fat, so hearing them talk about expensive alternatives doesn't hold much
water with me.
