As a commercial customer of Idaho Power, WOW Logistics, LLC agrees with Idaho Power's
position that its customers should have access to clean energy at a fair price based on
value. WOW believes that the IPUC should update how prices are set for alternative energy
such as wind and solar projects so that the utility (and therefore its customers) are not
forced to buy unneeded electrical power at inflated rates. WOW supports Idaho Power's
request that (1) an authorized negotiation process for developers of PURPA projects to obtain
a contract with Idaho Power be established, (2) there be a reduction in the maximum contract
length for PURPA projects from 20 years to five years, and (3) a policy be authorized to
allow Idaho Power to temporarily stop taking electricity from PURPA projects if conditions
warrant.
