We should only be paying for energy that can be depended upon to meet expected loads -- not paying high prices for energy that is sporadic and undependable. Wind and solar farms should be required to store energy (there are ways) and be paid for only what they can feed into the system at a constant rate, allowing the power company some assurance of energy supplies. Wind dosent' blow all the time, and needs other recources to back it up. It also has Idhao Power spilling water at times, and buying exspensive wind energy. This dosent' make sense. The companies profiting from all this are mostly big outfits, not small generators. They are getting around the rules and taking advatage of all the government dollars, and ratepayers like me and you. this is not what the PURPA rule was intended for. Where dose it stop?
