Alternative energy sounds good but when actual numbers surface then the rates are often much higher than hydro power or natural gas turbines. These contracts need to be evaluated and the federal requirement to buy from the alternative energy projects should be reexamined and changed for the benefit of Idaho citizens. There are alot of colorblind individuals in D.C. and Green' isn't always green. I believe it is very important that all alternative energy sources are encouraged and acknowledged as viable sources. Ida o Power should be doing more itself to reduce its coal burning power plants and should, itself, be investing in alternative energy sources. Thank you.
