Dear IPUC,
I have looked at Case No. GNR-E-10-04 and believe that it is just an excuse for the power
companies to avoid taking anymore wind energy into their grid. PURPA projects are protected
by US Law and should be allowed to be permitted. If the avoided cost is lowered, then why
are not the consumer rates for electricity going down? In fact, rates are still going
higher. The PURPA program is great for the family farms in providing them additional income
to keep the farm from being sold out.
