Idaho Power has no objection to either of the two parts of NIPPC's Motion. Idaho Power agrees that this proceeding should only apply to Idaho Power. Idaho Power is IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO NIPPC'S MOTION TO INITIATE PROCEDURAL SCHEDULE AND TO NARROW SCOPE OF PROCEEDING - 1 also amenable to the Commission establishing a procedural schedule to process this case. In its Motion, NIPPC states that using workshops to begin this case would be the most efficient and cost-effective procedure. Idaho Power agrees. NIPPC also proposes that an expert be retained to faciltate the workshops. Idaho Power suggests that it may be more cost-effective for the parties to conduct the first workshop without a facilitator to see if one is really needed. That same first workshop could be used as a place for the parties to work out a procedural schedule for this docket. At the first workshop, Idaho Power wil be prepared to discuss a draft set of competitive bidding guidelines that it would distribute beforehand. Idaho Power is prepared to move forward with the first workshop as early as mid-January 2010. DATED at this 30th day of December 2009.
