BOISE (Aug. 18, 2023) – Written comments are being accepted on an Avista Utilities application seeking approval of its annual power cost adjustment. If approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, the average residential electric customer’s monthly bill would increase by $3.23, or 3.8 percent. The utility’s power cost adjustment tracks revenue and cost changes associated with variations in hydroelectric generation, secondary prices, thermal fuel costs and changes in power contract revenues and expenses. The commission is accepting written comments until Sept. 12, 2023. Comments are required to be filed through the commission’s website or by e-mail unless computer access is not available. To comment electronically, please visit the commission website at puc.idaho.gov and click on the “Case Comment Form” link on the upper left side of the page. Please complete the form using case number AVU-E-23-08. If filing by e-mail, comments are required to be sent to the commission secretary and Avista at the e-mail addresses listed below.
