This is an astronomical increase for a populaon that is struggling with the overall price of inflaon. Many families in Idaho must have both parents working just to meet their basic needs. As a rered person, living on a fixed income, we are also struggling. Please deny this applicaon for the good of Idaho. Sincerely, Sophronia Selby" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: PUCWeb Noficaon <Do.Not.Reply@puc.idaho.gov> Sent: Monday, May 15, 2023 7:00 AM To: Jan Noriyuki Subject: Noce: A comment was submited to PUCWeb The following comments were submited via PUCWeb: Name: Linda Keller Submission Time: May 14 2023 6:25PM Email: lindakeller718@hotmail.com Telephone: 208-305-5689 Address: 1117 11th Street Lewiston, ID 83501 Name of Ulity Company: Avista Case ID: AVU-E-23-01 Comment: "I totally object to these new charges Avista wants. This basic charge nonsense of wanng to charge us 15.00 and then 20.00 a month for electricity and gas is not right. Example...Prety much I do not use my gas from May 1st to October 1st. That is 5 months of being charged 20.00 a month for NOT using your gas. This isn't right. One year of combined basic charges will 480.00. Where should people cut back? Not feed their families? Not buy clothes for their children? Something needs to change here in Lewiston, Idaho. Per the governor's office, Lewiston has the 2nd highest property taxes in the state. I know people whose property taxes went up so much that it caused their house loan payments to go up 2 200.00 to 400.00 a month. How much more can people take? This insanity is draining people's social security also and making people age 75 to 80 go back to work to they can afford to eat. It is going to be a sad, sad day if this gets approved for alot of people."
