Comment: "Commissioners, I write to protest the proposed electric rate increases by Avista Corp for
2023. The increase they request of 15.4% is far beyond reasonable. It will absolutely badly financially
hurt their customers. The preceding winter's bills smashed all previous bills I have paid in over 20
years of living here. Now being rered I fail to see where the money is to come from to pay this
increase. As an Avista shareholder I have recently received their 2022 annual report. It appears that
they have made some internal errors in judgement but yet my same dividend keeps coming. I will
gladly take a smaller dividend to not get this large increase. Please review their financials and adjust
their proposed increase down by at least half. Thank you."

Comment: "Avista 15+% Regarding Avista 15+% rate increase. My first thought is: Outrageous!! My
second thought is Outrageous!! I always find it so ridiculous that Avista will cite an example of an
average use of ~ 900+ kwh of electricity per month. Does anyone actually use that amount? With that
seemingly benign amount of electricity use and with the proposal increase it's just a measly $13 increase
on your bill. Golly gee, I wonder how much it would increase my monthly bill if I used 1800 kwhs? Would
it be $26 per month increase? Sure $26 isn't going to break the bank. But you know what, many $20-$26
increases add up. Do you want to know how many people/businesses tell me it's only an increase of $20
more per month or transacon somewhere. Inflaon isn't and hasn't been 15+%. Every business seems
to think they should double or triple prices and then look at you straight faced and tell you their
ridiculous price increase is just keeping up with inflaon. To top it off they offer a carrot of help in paying
the outrageous monthly bill. I guess to it's to see if they can ence you into scking your head in the
oven. "
