Comment: "People are struggling. With food, gas and rent going up I can not believe Avista is requesng
a 14.7 % boost followed by 4.5% a year later for electricity. Wages are not going up. Everyone says well
you have to make do but this isn't possible. When rent, ulies, gas and food is all your budget can
afford and eventually we will have more homeless families. This increase is way to much to ask for at
this me. We are struggling to make ends meet find a lower soluon please. "

Comment: "I am very concerned about the proposed Avista rate hike. The increase will be substanal for
Idaho residents in their service territory. My concern is not just for my own household but for family
across Northern Idaho. We are living in an economically changeling me and are suffering so many
increases from every aspect of life. My property tax went up $2,500 this year, gas is too high, groceries
are crazy expensive, just to name a few. Please don’t pass this!! I have read the noce of intent filed by
Avista. If I am understanding the document correctly. It looks like Avista is asking for a 22% increase over
the next two years. That is an astoundingly large amount!! I am unclear as to how this aggressive
increase is necessary for an established ulity company. I could understand a rate much lower increase
for Avista but 22% just sounds greedy. This seams so unreasonable for an area that does not offer
consumers an opon to rate compare with other companies. Finally, how does Avista rate increases in
Idaho compare to rate increases in Spokane WA? Are you aware of any meeng for the rate payers to
voice their concerns? Thank you kindly for your me and atenon. Respecully Mercedes Turner "
