Avista Utilities is proud to have supplied your projects with natural gas and electric service, as well as
quality constnrction coordination, of your utility needs for many years. As you may know, in the spring
of each year, the Company files a request with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission")
to update the costs associated with the materials required to provide our electric service for individual
homes and new developments.
The Company frled its proposed changes with the Commission on March 11,2022, and if the requested
changes are approvod they would go into effect on May 1,2022.
The changes include updating the standard or basic development costs and allowance to reflect actual
2021 material and labor costs. Below is a summary of the changes included in the filing:

The proposed change in the cost per lot would require builders to make a $5 non-refundable
payment. Developers would only need to provide a letter of credit, or cash deposit, for $1,612 per
residence until such time as a permanent hookup is made.
The Company's applications are proposals, subject to public review and a Commission decision.
