FILING TO UPDATE AND ESTABLISH ITS CAPACITY DEFICIENCY
PERIOD TO BE USED FOR AVOTDED COST CALCULATIONS; AVU-E-
22-02

On February 22, 2022, Avista Corporation d/b/a Avista Utilities (“Company”) applied
to the Commission for approval of its capacity deficiency period used for its avoided cost
calculations. The Company must file its capacity deficiency case after the Commission
acknowledges its IRP report. The Company requests its Application be processed by Modified
Procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the Commission issue Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure and establish a May 5, 2022, public comment deadline and a May 12, 2022, Company
reply deadline.
