Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities (Avista or the Company) received Staffs letter filed on
August2,2022pertainingtoOrderNo.35466inCaseNo. AYU-E-22-02whichestablishesanew
first capacity deficit date which occurs in December 2026. Staffs letter and corresponding
attachments provide an update to the Surrogate Avoided Resource (*SAR') Model and re-
calculated avoided cost rates to reflect the new capacity deficit inforrration. Avista has reviewed
the attachments and would like to thank Stafffor their update to the SAR model and agrees with
Staffs calculations.
