Avista Corporation, dba Avista Utilities (Avista or the Company), received Order No. 35215 from
the Idalro PublicUtilities Commission datedNoverrber2,202l notiffing the Company oftheneed
to update Avista's cost of capital approved in its most recent general rate case for use in the
Surrogate Avoided Resource (SAR) method for calculating the avoided cost rates PLIRPA
qualiffing facilities are paid. The Company has reviewed the updated SAR Model and new
avoided cost rates and agrees that the calculations are correct.
