SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF AVISTA CORPORATION
FOR AND ORDER AUTHORIZING PILOT PROGRAMS FOR THE
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRIC TRANSPORTATION;
CASE NO. AVU-E-21-13.
On September 9, 2021, Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities (“Company”) filed an
Application with the Commission to authorize the Company to implement pilot electric
transportation programs. Application at 11. The Company plans to offer and fund the programs
under electric tariff Schedule 90 and Schedule 91. Id. at 1. The Company requests an effective date
of November 1, 2021. Id. The Company also requests that its filing be processed under Modified
Procedure by written comment. Id.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application, Notice of
Intervention Deadline establishing a 21-day intervention period, and Notice of Suspension
suspending the Company’s proposed effective date for 30 days plus five (5) months or until the
Commission enters an earlier order accepting, rejecting, or modifying the Company’s requests
pursuant to Idaho Code § 61-622(4).
