RE: Case No. AW-E-21-11 - Request to Withdraw Application
Dear Ms. Noriyuki:
Avista Corporation, dba Avista Utilities (Avista or the Company), respectfully requests to
withdraw its "Application of Avista Corporation forthe Request to Decrease its Energy Efficiency
Rider Adjustment Schedule 91" (Application), as filed on July 30,2021 in the above-referenced
Case. Since the time of this filing, the Company has discovered a miscalculation in the forecasting
used to project the need for the requested decrease for its electric Schedule 91. With the correction
of this error, the current Schedule 9l revenue is consistent with the forecasted funding needs of
Avista's Energy Efficiency Program. The Company commits to continue analyzing the funding
needs of its Energy Efficiency Program on an annual basis and will make future tariffadjustments
as necessary in consultation with its Energy Efficiency Advisory Group.
Pursuant to RP 125, the Company notified customers of its Application by way of posting
the Application to its website at myavista.com, as well as distribution of a Customer Notice to be
included in customer's bills beginning in early August 2021. With this Request to Withdraw,
Avista anticipates immediate removal of the posted Application from its website. The Customer
Notice, provided as draft in the Company's original filing, has already been distributed to
customers as part of a combined notice inclusive of three additional annual rate adjustments
