Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities (Avista or the Company) provides the following reply
comments pursuant to OrderNo. 34898 in CaseNo. AVU-E-20-I l regarding Avista's compliance
filingto update and establish its capacity deficiencyperiodto be used foravoided cost calculations.
Avista appreciates Commission Staff's thorough review and comments in regards to the
Company's capacity deficiency period. The Company supports Staff's recommendation to
approve Avista's Load and Resource Balance reflected in scenario 2, whichresults in a first deficit
date of Nov ember 2026 and using the Company' s Au gu st 2 020 peak lo ad forecast.
