Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities (Avista or the Company) provides the following reply
comments to Commission Staff's letter issued April 7 ,2021in Case No. AVU-E-20-I1, relating
to the Company'scapacity deficiencyperiodusodin determiningavoidedcostrates. In compliance
with OrderNo. 34981 in Case No. AVU-E-20-I l, Staff updated the Surrogate AvoidedResource
(SAR) model and re-calculated avoided cost rates, using the first capacity deficiency dab of
November 2026 approved in the Order. Avista has reviewed the updated SAR model and agree
the calculations were made corroctly.
