As you may know, in the spring of each year, the Company files a request with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") to update the costs associated with the materials required to provide our electric service for individual homes and new developments. The Company filed its proposed changes with the Commission on March 9,2020, and if the requested changes are approved, they would go into effect on July I,2020. The changes include updating the standard or basic development costs and allowance to reflect actual 2019 material and labor costs. Developers would only need to provide a letter of credit, or cash deposit, for $ I ,460 per residence until such time as a permanent hookup is made. Please keep in mind that these new costs and allowance affect only new developments or additional phases contracted on or after July 1, 2020. The Company's application is a proposal, subject to public review and a Commission decision.
