To: The ldaho Public Utilities Commission PO Box 83720 Boise, lda ho 837 2O-OA7 4 ln regards to the proposed Gas and Electric increases R€CT,VED 10,9 JUil tg ff{ B: tr2 ,,r"i?*#;t[f*ll8r,.* The proposed 2019/2020 increases for residential customers is way out of line and unnecessary. What Avista needs to do to cut costs is down size, starting the CEO's outrageous salary! Even at 50%, the CEO's salary is far above the income of most in ldaho. Once the CEO and others have shown good faith in taking the cut in pay, others would be more willing to see a reduction in their income as well, being thankful for even having a job. With the Natural Gas down 18.4% that should present a savings not an increase to customers. This atternpt by Avista to increase these utilities is nothing more than to line their pockets and make the people of Kootenai County suffer even more with the 22 plus trillion dollar debt. Administrator Terri Carlock's comment that 3.5 percent rate increase is not considered dramatic to her is appalling and insulting. I would bet that she feels that maybe it should be more....like maybe 7A% that the feds are trying to push through ! We say NO to any increase but YES to a demand by the commission to reduce salaries and cut back on staff. Craig and April ferwin Hayden, ldaho Hayden, ldaho
