Comment: "I commend Avista's move toward 100% clean energy by 2045 and to move away
from coal by 2025. It's smart for the utility to make clean energy a larger part of its portfolio, especially since it is becoming one of the cheapest forms of energy. For the sake of Idaho
residents and businesses, I urge the commission to carefully consider how the benefits of newclean energy sources (particularly solar and wind) are distributed to Avista's customers.
Washington has more aggressive clean energy regulation, which may result in the cleanenergy benefits falling more heavily in WA territory. Communities in Idaho should also be
able to benefit from jobs, economic investment, and clean energy credit that come with cleanenergy resources. Northern Idaho seems to have plenty of the wind and sun resources good for
wind and solar farms. It would be nice for some of Avista's planned development of solar andwind resources to be in Idaho (at least proportional to the business Idaho gives Avista). "
