NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC
PUBLIC HEARING
ORDER NO. 34736
On January 30, 2019, Avista Corporation (“Avista” or “Company”) filed a petition
seeking an extension of the August 31, 2019 filing date for the Company’s 2019 Integrated
Resource Plan (“IRP”).
On April 16, 2019, the Commission granted the Company’s request and extended the
filing date of the Company’s 2019 IRP for six months from August 31, 2019 until February 29,
2020. Order No. 34312.
On February 28, 2020, the Company filed its 2019/2020 IRP (“2020 IRP”).
On March 25, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of 2020 Electric Integrated
Resource Plan and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 34609.
On May 13, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure. Order No.
34666. The Commission set a comment deadline of August 19, 2020, and a reply comment
deadline of September 2, 2020. Id.
On July 9, 2020, Commission Staff held a virtual public workshop for Avista
customers.
Now, in response to public comments, the Commission issues a Notice of Telephonic
Public Hearing.
NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC PUBLIC HEARING
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission’s Rules of Modified Procedure
contemplate that a case will be processed by written submissions without the need for a public
hearing. However, the Commission finds good cause to schedule a public hearing in this case
because of numerous public comments requesting a public hearing.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a public
telephonic customer hearing in this matter on WEDNESDAY AUGUST 5, 2020 AT 6:00 P.M.
MDT. The purpose of the public hearing is to take testimony from members of the public and

customers of Avista. To participate, interested persons can call 1-800-920-7487 shortly before the
designated time, and enter the confirmation code 667 4832# when prompted.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the telephonic hearing will meet accessibility
requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Persons needing the help of a sign language
interpreter or other assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony at a public
hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the
hearing. The request for assistance must be received at least five working days before the hearing
by contacting the Commission Secretary at:

O R D E R
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Commission will hold a telephonic public hearing
on Wednesday August 5, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. MDT.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties should continue to comply with Order No.
34602, issued March 17, 2020. All pleadings should be filed with the Commission electronically
and shall be deemed timely filed when received by the Commission Secretary. See Rule 14.02.
Service between parties should also be accomplished electronically. Voluminous discovery-related
documents may be filed and served on CD-ROM or a USB flash drive.
