On January 30,2019,Avista Corporation ("Company")filed a petition seeking an
extension of the August 31,2019 filing date for the Company's 2019 Integrated Resource Plan
("IRP").
On April 16,2019,the Commission granted the Company's request and extended the
filing date of the Company's 2019 IRP for six months from August 31,2019 until February 29,
2020.Order No.34312.
On February 28,2020,the Company filed its 2019/2020 IRP ("2020 IRP").
The Commission now issues this Notice of 2020 Electric IRP and Notice of
Intervention Deadline,setting a 14-day intervention period.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that this docket was originally titled "In the Matter
of Avista's Petition for an Extension to File its 2019 Electric Integrated Resource Plan."After the
Commission granted Avista's petition and extended the filing date to February 29,2020,as noted
above,Avista filed its 2020 IRP in this docket.The Commission thus voted,at its March 17,2020
Decision Meeting,to change this docket's name to "In the Matter of Avista's 2020 Electric
Integrated Resource Plan."
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission granted the Company's
request to extend the filing deadline for its 2019 IRP until February 2020 because of numerous
potentiallysignificant legislative proposals in Washington,Montana,and Oregon that were likely
to impact the Company's operations and planning.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Company states major changes from the
2017 IRP include "the removal of new natural gas-fired peakers in exchange for long duration
energy storage,additional demand response,500 MW of new wind resources,and upgrades to
thermal and hydroelectric facilities."2020 IRP at 1-4.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Company states the Washington Utilities
and Transportation Commission deferred the submittal of an IRP for the Company in that state
until 2021 in order to allow completion of rulemaking to implement the Clean Energy
Transformation Act.2020 IRP at 2-1.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Application is available for public
inspection on the Commission's web site at Click on "Electric Cases"at the
top of the page,then select "Open Cases"and click on the case number as shown on the front of
this document.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held
pursuant to the Commission's jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and specifically Idaho
Code §§61-502 and 61-503.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be conducted
pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Procedure,IDAPA 31.01.01.000et seq.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons who wish to intervene in this matter to
obtain the rights of party (e.g.,to file formal discovery,or present evidence or cross-examine
witnesses at a hearing)must file a Petition to Intervene with the Commission under the
Commission's Rules of Procedure 72 and 73,IDAPA 31.01.01.072and .073,as modified by Order
No.34602.Persons who wish to intervene as a party must file a petitionto intervene within
14 days after the service date of this Order.Such persons shall also provide the Commission
Secretary with their electronic mail address to facilitate further communications.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons who would like to present their views
without parties'rights of participation and cross-examination are not required to intervenebut may
present their views by submitting written comments to the Commission.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission Secretary shall issue a Notice
of Parties after the deadline for intervention has passed.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that once the Notice of Parties is issued,
Commission Staff will informally confer with the parties to discuss a schedule and procedure to
process this case and other issues,as raised by the parties.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that persons desiring to intervene in this case for the
purpose of obtaining parties'rights of participation must file a Petition to Intervene with the
Commission,pursuant to Rules 72 and 73,IDAPA 31.01.72-.73,within 14 days after the service
date of this Order.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties continue to comply with Order No.34602,
issued March 17,2020.All pleadings should be filed with the Commission electronicallyand shall
be deemed timely filed when received by the Commission Secretary.See Rule 14.02.Service
between parties should also be accomplished electronically.Voluminous discovery-related
documents may be filed and served on CD-ROM or a USB flash drive.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that,after the Secretary issues a Notice of Parties,Staff
will informally confer with the parties to discuss the appropriateprocess and schedule for this case.
