Comment:AGAINST the Merger of Avista and Hydro One
I have written Matthew Evans previously,I attended the C d'A presentation.I was more than skeptical of thearrangementsofthedealatthattime.With the firing of the Board by the CanadianProvincial gov't it is very clear whoownsHydroOne.This creates an insurmountable hurdle to overcome and I'm glad to hear that the PUC Attorneyunderstandsthegravityofthisdecision,as I believe the state supreme court will weigh in on the constitutionalityshouldthePUCdefytheobvious.
With Oregon and Washington State wavering or leading in a decision against this merger it further strengthens the IdahoPUC's hand to reject this merger.
I'm glad to see the PUC Staff has come to realize that this bull has no horns.Thank you for listening to the very wellintentionedpeopleofIdaho,
