I am totallyopposed to the Canadapurchase of Avista in Idahol We should not have a foreigngovernmentoperating,or even partiallyoperating,let alone owning,a public utilityin our country andcertainlynotinIdahowherewehaveseverewintercoldandveryhotsummersrequiringelectricheatandcoolingJusttostayalive.
Our rates would certainly rise and Idaho is a poor state;we cannot afford any more unsupervisedcontrolofourelectricrates.Peoplewould move out of Idaho if they take control.

July 6 edition of the Coeur d'Alene Press by Kenneth Moore of Hayden.No one informed about Hydro One's abysmal
record in Canada could vote to permit this awful merger.You can help the utility customers of Idaho dodge a major
bullet by blocking the merger.Please do so.Thank you.

Comment:WHY are you even considering this buy-out??Who owns Hydro One --are they unlisted owners?US lawstatesthatshouldbedisclosed,but are they?Are they Chinese?The CDA hearing was attended by 158 citizens,not oneofthembeinginfavorofthisbuy-out.Is Hydro One really bankrupt --owing $20 billion in debt?Will they acquire $9millioningoldfromAlaska?Avista is owned by taxpayers,not the PUC!We financed the dams,etc.,not the PUC!The Avista Board would receive over $50.5 million in personal payoff if this is approved --is that TRUE??Scott Morriswouldpersonallyreceive$15 million??WOWill
I understand that Montana,Alaska and Oregon approved this:1)Oregon didn't allow public testimonies,2)Montanabailed,and 3)Alaska rushed through a slam-dunk number of payoffs.
I strongly urge you to stand for the American people in this process.Do not put your personal benefits before those ofyouwhosubscribetoyourservices--like happens in Government these days.
