Comment: At first I thought the proposal was some kind of joke. Who would be stupid enough to give away dams and
energy to a socialist 2nd tier foreign "power" that is in the process of being consumed by Communist Chinese and
lslamic radicals? But then, I realized that it wasn't a joke. lnstead, it is a very inexpensive attempt to steal trillions of
dollars worth of taxpayer-funded dams and infrastructure by God-only-knows who. Not only that, but the probably
violent ":water wars" on the horizon will show that we will have given up our water rights to foreigners. I say that
because the corporate laws of the socialist government of canada hide the identity of minority owners.
I find it to be laughable how treasonous those pushing this foul idea think that it will go thru without litigation. When
DISCOVERY happens in the court process, all will be revealed and then "let the civil lawsuits" begin......particularly
against those so-called Americans who had "sudden" unaccountable influxes to the net worth in the last 3 years.
ln other words..Hell NO to this abomination.

Comment: Dear PUC Commissioners,
I write to object to the proposed merger/acquisition of Avista with a Canadian firm - Hydro One.
This is not a statement against our friends and neighbors in Canada.
It is a statement of extreme concern that ldaho would allow ownership of a regulated utility by a company in another
country. There are 3 dams in northern ldaho owned and operated by Avista on significant bodies of water. Allowing
another country whose goals for our water and its management may be different than ours is unthinkable. Why would
we do that?
It is an understatement to say that water is critical to ldaho. Our electricity generation, the citizens and businesses that
depend upon it, management of water levels in our lakes and rivers and the accompanying economy tied to recreation
as well as management of wildlife and fish would all be handed over to another country's company. We would have no
ability for redress for any harmful actions taken. We'd have no access through our political, judicial, or regulatory
structures.
Please deny this application and project.
