Comment:My wife and I are adamantly opposed to the sale of AVISTA to the Canadiancompany.They have
environmental laws that can be very restrictive and reflect a political bias that we should never become involved with.
This whole process was done in a secretive manner and was never properly presented in any of the mailers we get from
AVISTA.The appearance of some type of payoff or under the table manipulations to initially start this buy out are highly
suspicious.The very liberal Canadiangovernment and their lack of rights for their citizens would guarantee a conflict of
interest with our Bill of Rights and constitutional protections.It is still unclear who benefits from this transaction and
the lack of long term guarantees of our control over American rates makes the whole proposal untenable.

Comment:I want to state how very much opposed I am of the sale of Avista to Hydro One.I can't imagine ANY GOOD
reason to allow a foreign country to have control over a United States utility!!!I have alot of family in Canada and all
they do is complain about the high cost of utilities.Why should a foreign country habe that control for whatever they
want.Seems the only attractive part is financial gains for current execs.Our rate decrease being talked about is only a
spoof for a few years,then look out!
Keep the fate of our utilities in U.S.hands,NOT CANADA
