Comment:I object to HydroOne acquiring Avista.I can't beleive I even have to write this letter,because what the heck
is a company from a totally different country doing attempting to buy a utility company of another country,and in this
case specifically one of our utility companies in the United States.And why are the,powers that be at Avista even
considering selling to another country?I do not think it's a good move,considering where it could lead in the long run,
like hiking up all our rates super high and a move that could also help lead us closer towards the giving away of US
sovereignty.

Subject:Avista Sale to Canada
Who gave Avista the option to sell America's energy company to Canada's HydroOne and why?Canada can
later sell HydroOne to China or any country,due to international trade agreements.Then what?
It's critically important as American national security concerns that we disallow any foreign-owned corporation
to own/control our energy companies,dams,electrical and natural gas infrastructure.
Being a member of the UN's Paris Accord on climate change,Canada's HydroOne can and will charge
American ratepayers exorbitant prices for their green-mandated energy laws.
HydroOne is switchingto unreliable and unaffordablyexpensive windmills and solar,both requiring labor-
intensive maintenance for correct operation.Solar panels require weekly cleaning and regular batteries'
replacement.Consequently,America's reliable hydroelectric-generating dams will deteriorate,ending our
affordable energy.
Despite being told this sale is going through,the Idaho Public Utilities Commission can stop this imminent
sale.We citizens can stop this sale if we will only do.

Comment:I am greatly concerned about the upcoming merger of Avista and Hydro One.Hydro One was the mostexpensiveelectricutilityinNorthAmericain2015charging29.9 kwhr!They had a rate hike of 25%alone in 20161 ManycustomersinOntariocannotaffordHydroOne's rates,with 58,000 households being disconnected.Hydro One'stransmissionsystemisdeemedtheleastreliableofallofCanada'sdistributioncompanies.They do not havea stellarrecordoftreatingtheircustomersfaily.
why should we give control of our dams,our electric generating facilities,and our distributionsystem to a foreignownedcompany?
This is a National Security issue.
And what is preventing Hydro One from selling out to a Russian or Chinese company?Russia already ownes 20%of oururaniumresoursesthankstoHillaryClinton.Lets keep our precious natural resources in US hands,and not sell them offtothehighestbidder!
