)WORKSHOP
On July 19,2017,Avista announced that it had entered into a merger agreement with
Hydro One ("Applicants").On September 14,2017,the Applicants filed a joint application for
approval of the merger.Approval of the Application would result in Avista becoming a wholly
owned subsidiary of a Hydro One holding company.The Applicants have requested approval by
August 14,2018,and have made the same request in other state jurisdictions
The Commission now schedules the followingpublic workshop.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Commission Staff will convene a public
workshop in this matter,as follows:

The public workshop will offer Staff,the Company,and interested persons an
opportunityto meet,ask questions,receive information,and possibly resolve issues in dispute
and give Avista customers an opportunity to hear from Commission Staff regarding the
Company's Application.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all workshops and hearings in this matter will
be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA).Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to
participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public workshop or hearing may ask
the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.The
