On July 19,2017,Avista announced that it had entered into a merger agreement with
Hydro One ("Applicants").On September 14,2017,the Applicants filed a joint application for
approval of the merger.Approval of the Application would result in Avista becoming a wholly
owned subsidiary of a Hydro One holding company.The Applicants have requested approval by
August 14,2018,and have made the same request in other state jurisdictions.
On October 5,2017,the Commission issued a Notice of Application and ordered an
intervention deadline of October 26,2017.Order No.33903.Idaho Forest Group,Clearwater
Paper,Idaho Conservation League (ICL),the Community Action Partnership Association of
Idaho (CAPAI),and the Washington and Northern Idaho District Council of Laborers
(WNIDCL)intervened as parties.
With this Order,we approve the proposed timeline,and schedule a technical hearing
for the parties to testify before the Commission.The Commission will schedule public
informational workshops,and a public hearing by separate Order at a later date.
NOTICE OF SCHEDULING
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that,the parties have agreed to participate in
settlement discussions on April 26 and June 5,2018.The parties have also agreed to the
followingprocedural schedule for pre-filed testimony,which the Commission adopts:

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all testimony and exhibits in this matter must
comport with Commission Rules of Procedure 231 and 267,IDAPA 31.01.01.231 and .267.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the parties have been directed to serve
discovery,testimony,and exhibits to each other by electronic mail pursuant to Rule 63,IDAPA
31.01.01.063.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that when filing discovery with the Commission,
the parties shall provide an original and three copies to the Commission Secretary.IDAPA

COMMISSION HEARING ROOM,472 WEST WASHINGTON,BOISE,IDAHO.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission intends to schedule public
workshops in the Company's service territory,and a public hearing for customers and non-
parties to testify before the Commission.The date,time,and location of the workshops and
public hearing will be detailed in a subsequent Order.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the record in this matter is available for
public inspection during regular business hours at the Commission of5ces.The record is
available on the Commission's web site at www.puc.idaho.gov.Click on the "File Room"tab at

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be

ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Commission adopts the procedural schedule set
forth in the above Notice of Scheduling.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a technical hearing will commence in this matter
on Wednesday,June 27,2018,at 9:30 a.m.(MDT)in the Commission Hearing Room.
