Comment:Hi there,
I write to you concerned by Avista’s desicion to invest in coal power via Colstrip for another 20 years. With the price of
coal always going up,and the price of newables going down, why are we making this move to stay locked into the past?
Secondly,Oregon and Washington have made plans to leave Colstrip behind earlier, without other states in on the deal,
Idahoans stand to have their rates go up.
Lastly,I would love to see Avista revise its integrated plan to provide Idahoans with a detailed analysis of our options,
including renewables, once we move on from Colstrip.
Idaho is a leader in so many areas;it’s time that Avista step up to the plate and become a leader in cleaning up our
power grid.
Thank you,
Eric Oliver

Comment:Avista’s continued use of energy from Coistrip will be increasingly uneconomical.Others are leaving Colstrip,
Avista should also.Coal is the worst source because of its C02,and now is less economic than other sources.
