Comment:It seems to me that supporting Avista's Colstrip plant will increase rates.Giventhat it is one of the largest
greenhouse gas emitters in the country,this seems a doubly bad idea.
I would like to see Avista invest in clean energy.One of the reasons I live off-grid is that Avista's rates are high enough to
make it cost effective for me,espeically when I take into account the financial costs to all of us of continual carbon
emissions.I am especially concerned about the health costs.
Since three are clean alternatives (solar,wind,water and thermal)in Idaho,PUC should be working to support them
here.
