I am a residential customer and I would see my rates raise by nearly 8%,(7.7%).The highest increase.General Service and Industrial rates would increase by an average of less than 5%. Due to various factors according to my employer,I have not had a pay raise since 2015 and then they were usually about 3%. Due to these factors,I feel this burden is unevenly unfair. It also seems excessive that AVISTA asks for rate increases year after year after year, claiming the same vague reasons of capital investments to upgrade infrastructure and to provide safe and reliable service. How many years does this process take or is it decades? It also seems that executive and stock holder compensation is excessive which seems to go up sizably every year. Also, over the last number of years they have encouraged energy savings and then when we do conserve with better appliances and lighting they raise their rates to compensate for the less energy they sell to us.In other words, they want to have their cake and eat it to. The average working customer’s income is stagnate, yet AVI$TA continues to charge like there’s no tomorrow. Please reject this latest request. It is unfair and unnecessary especially with the monopoly they enjoy. Sincerely: Lawrence Fury Sandpoint,Idaho
