On June 1, 2016, A vista Corporation dba A vista Utilities filed an Application seeking
authority to increase its electric base rates by $15.4 million (6.3%) in Idaho. On June 7, 2016,
the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Clearwater
Paper Corporation, Idaho Forest Group, Snake River Alliance, and Community Action
Partnership Association ofldaho petitioned for and were granted intervention. On July 15, 2016,
the Commission set a technical hearing date of December 2, 2016, established a prefiled
testimony deadline of October 25, 2016, a prefiled rebuttal deadline of November 21, 2016, and
set a settlement conference date of October 3, 2016.
On October 14, 2016, Staff filed a Motion to vacate the October 25, 2016, prefiled
testimony deadline. The Motion indicates that the parties have reached a full settlement of the
matter.
After reviewing the request, good cause appearing, the Commission grants Staffs
Motion. We also vacate the Company's rebuttal deadline. Further, the technical hearing date of
December 2, 2016, (Order No. 33555) is converted from a technical hearing on the Application
to a technical hearing to present the proposed settlement.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the October 25, 2016, deadline for filing prefiled
testimony is vacated.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the November 21, 2016, deadline for filing a
prefiled rebuttal is vacated.
IT IS FUTHER ORDERED that the technical hearing scheduled in this matter for
Friday, December 2, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. (MST) will go forward in the Commission Hearing
Room. The purpose of this hearing shall be presentation of the proposed settlement to the
Commission.
