RE: Compliance Filing (Case No. AVU-E-15-06)
Dear Ms. Jewell:
In Order No. 33350 in Case No. AVU-E-I5-06, the Commission approved the Joint Petition of
Avista Corporation ("Avista") and Clearwater Paper Corporation ("Clearwater") related to
Amendment No. I to the Electric Service Agreement. As a part of the Order, at page 3, the
Commission stated "that when Avista purchases Incremental Energy from Clearwater under the
terms of the amended Agreement, Avista shall report such purchases to the Commission
Secretary within l4 days of the purchase transaction and provide the details of the transaction."
In compliance with the Commission's directive, detailed below are the terms of the first
transaction which occumed on September 16, 2015. The purpose of the transaction was a test so
that Avista could determine the magnitude of the generation increase we could expect to see as
well as the communications process between the companies.
