They would like to be on record as being opposed to this rate increase. Many of the Benewah County residents already struggle to pay their utility service especially during the winter and a rate increase would add to that burden. The costs of Legal Fees to request these increases must be vast &are passed on to we consumers,NOT the investors of Avista stock Why should we pay to make Avista a more attractive stock? I think the prices for Gas &Electric should be based on Costs,NOT some FCA mechanism. This is Snake Oil chicanery &this mentality was pushed out of existence during its heyday in the Wild West.Have we learned nothing from our history besides listening to a new set of Snake Oil salesmen foisting their Bottled Remedies on us?I have always wondered about the mentality that urges us all to Conserve, when it would be well known that the Utilities profit from ‘more use.I ‘Conserve’,because I cant afford more costs & the idea of paying more for Less Use is physically stifling. It makes me short of breath.
