HomeMy WebLinkAbout20120531certificate_no_506.pdfBEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF AVISTA ) CORPORATION’S APPLICATION FOR A ) CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE ) AND NECESSITY FOR ITS SOLAR ) GENERATING RESOURCE NEAR ) RATHDRUM,IDAHO ) CASE NO.AVU-E-12-04 CERTIFICATE NO.506 On April 20,2012,Avista Corporation filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a previously constructed solar generation test facility in Kootenai County near Rathdrum,Idaho pursuant to Idaho Code §61-526.The facility is located in one block of a six-block test complex immediately adjacent to Avista’s combustion turbine generation plant on that site. IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the future public convenience and necessity requires and will require Avista Corporation to construct and subsequently operate a 15 kW solar generation resource and related interconnection facilities at its existing plant site near Rathdrum. Avista shall operate and maintain the solar generation resource to furnish electric energy to its customers and to collect data on solar generation. THIS CERTIFICATE is predicated upon and issued pursuant to the findings of fact, conclusions of law,and conditions contained in Order No.32560. DATED at Boise,Idaho this 3/day of May,2012.
