) MOTION FOR EXTENSION
COMES NOW, Avista Corporation ("Avista" or "Company"), and hereby
moves the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") for an order granting an
extension ofthe proposed effective dates in the Case Nos. A VU- E-11-02 and A VU-G-11-03
for an unspecified perod of time. This Motion is based on the following:
1. On June 13, 2011, Avista fied an Application with the Commission for
authority to decrease the revenues collected under it Energy Efficiency Riders Schedules 91
(electrc) and 191 (natual gas). If approved, the Company's revenues collected under
electrc Schedule 91 would decrease by $750,000, or 0.3% of biled rates. Revenues
collected under natual gas Schedule 191, if approved, would decrease by $2,900,000, or

4.2% of biled rates retail rates. The Company requested an effective date of August 1,2011,
for its proposed electrc/gas rate decreases.
2. On June 28, 2011, the Commission in Order No. 32278 set the Company's
application to be processed under Modified Procedure (IDAP A 31.01.01.201 -.204) and also
set a wrtten comment period for 21 days from the date of that order.
3. Since filing the requested electrc and natual gas Energy Efficiency Rider
decreases, the Company and Commission Staff have been engaged in discussions related to
the above referenced filings. Though this motion, A vista requests additional time for
discussions. Commission Staff supports the Company's motion for extension. Avista wil
notify the Commission when the discussions between the Company and Commission Staff
have concluded and, at that time, wil request a new proposed effective date for the rate
changes.
NOW, THREFORE, Avista respectfully request that the Commission issue an
order in Case Nos. A VU-E-11-02 and A VU-G-11-03:
1. Granting a delay in the comment perod for an unspecified perod of tie; and
2. Granting an extension of the proposed effective dates of the Company's
Schedules 91 and 191 for an unspecified period of time.
