Reguardind increase in rates which is now under your decision. This is no time to increase
electric rates when so many people are out of work and lots more working for less wages.
Residential services going up 14.5% and basic charge from $4.60 to $6.75. All peoople on
retirement payments did not get any increase this year and do not expect one in 2011. I
guess most workers would love to get this kind of increase in their paychecks. Pleast for
once disallow this increse and most residents of Idaho will applaud you. Thank you,

I just received a notice along with my bill for April, you are wanting to pass another
increase of 14.5%. Every time I turn around, you guys have some lame excuse why you think
electrici ty prices should go up!!!! Its the same excuse every time !! Ever since I got on
comfort level billing about 5 - 6 yrs ago, it has gone up from $42.00 to $58.00!! I might as
well not be on it anymore because I'm getting close to what it was before I got on it. In
case you haven't noticed, the economy sucks!! Taxes keep going up, along with gas and food
and you think raising the rates is good?! So, the way the enconomy is going, I think it would
be smart on YOUR part to NOT increase rates at this time! But I doubt you i II listen to me or
others and just go ahead and increase it anyway!

I strongly disagree with avistas proposal for a natual gas increase. Natual gas has been
the cheapest its ever been in the last 30 years and it has been that way for almost 2 yrs,
and in that time avista has only dropped its prices 3 percent. It is apparent that avista is
only out to make as much money as possible that is apparent when compared to last yrs profits
and this yrs profits they made 4 million more in profits. I think it is the commisions duty
to protect the people of Idaho from a corp. like avista . its not like we can shop around and
find a better option if we could any other utility company would be better. JH
