During this time of economic downturn for the citizens of Idaho, a 5% increase in electric
rates and an even higher rate hike for gas seems to be ill timed. Idahoans are dealing with
increased expenses at an exponential rate (high grocery, fuel prices, health care to name a
few). All of this has happened within a quick time frame and is difficult to adjust to.
Expenses seem to rising at a much faster pace than wages.
