I want to comment on the increase of 15.8% for electricity and 5.8% for natural gas. In this
day and age when EVERYTHING is going up but our WAGES, I am against another increase. We are
taxed to death, increased beyond our means and everyday it feels like we are sinking deeper.
We recently moved to CDA from Moses Lake Washington and the prices to heat your home and run
the necessary electricity are much higher here in Idaho and now they want another increase??
I need a new furnace but can't afford one since my heating costs and natural gas cost so
much. I have purchased energy efficient light bulbs and installed them in every socket in my
house, I have upgraded old appliances to more energy effecient ones and we always turn off
unnecessary lights. Still, we are faced with needless increases. I believe the gas/electric
companies need to make cut-backs in their spending and consider the little guy and how he
feels with these needless increases. Thank you.
