A VU-O7- NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP On August 31 , 2007, A vista Corporation ("A vista ) filed an Application seeking authority to implement a one-year pilot program for the remote disconnection and reconnection of customers to its system. The Company also requested a limited waiver of Utility Customer Relations Rule 311.03 and .04 (IDAPA 31.21.01.311.03 and 311.04) related to the final customer notification prior to disconnection. The Company requested that the Commission process its Application through Modified Procedure. IDAPA 31.01.01.201-204. On September 19, 2007, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure, establishing a deadline for the submission of comments and/or protests. Commission Staff filed comments supporting the Company s Application. AARP of Idaho filed comments opposing the Company s Application. Likewise, Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho ("CAP AI"filed comments opposing approval of the Company Application as well as the Commission s use of Modified Procedure. Additionally, CAP AI requested that the Commission convene a technical hearing and order a workshop regarding the Company s proposal. On December 4 2007 , the Commission issued Order No. 30471 denying the request for a technical hearing. The Commission granted the request to defer approval of the Company pilot program and ordered that two public workshops be held in Lewiston and Coeur d' Alene Idaho "to further refine and develop the details of the pilot program." Order No. 30471. Public workshops were originally scheduled for February 5-, 2008 in Lewiston and Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. However, customer groups filing comments in the case requested the workshops be cancelled to allow more time for A vista and the customer groups to work out issues with the hope of presenting a plan to the Commission that is agreeable to all parties. January 25 2008, the Commission issued a Notice of Vacated Public Workshops pursuant to this request. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission Staff will hold a public workshop on THURSDAY. MARCH 27. 2008. AT 9:30 A.M. IN THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION HEARING ROOM. 472 W. WASHINGTON. BOISE. IDAHO At this workshop all interested parties will have an opportunity to discuss Avista Application in Case No. A VU-07-09 and ask questions of Staff and representatives of the Company. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Application in Case No. A VU-07- may be viewed on the Commission s website www.puc.idaho.gov by clicking on "File Room and "Electric Cases " or it can be viewed during regular business hours at the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, 472 W.
