Comment description: I am agaist the idea of public utili ties selling off power
generating facilities to gain short term profits. We have a need for more power
generating facilities , not less , and I think the PUC should require utili ties to show how
they intend to replace the power generating capacity of the older facility before it is
allowed to abandon the facility. If they can sell off a small operation today, what willthey try to sell off next? This sell-off looks like it could be the start of a bad trend
that could hurt the public later if too much capacity is vacated.
