SUBJECT: CASE NO. PAC-E-10-07 (Rocky Mountain Power)
GENERAL RATE CASE
PROPOSED SCHEDULING (AND TECHNICAL HEARING)
On May 28, 2010, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power (PacifiCorp; Company)
filed an Application for authority to increase the Company’s general rates for electric service by
an average of 13.7%. If approved, the Company revenues for electric base retail rates would
increase by $27.7 million annually. The net amount of actual increase varies by class of
customer and usage.
On June 10, 2010, the Commission issued Notices of Application and Intervention
Deadline in Case No. PAC-E-10-07. Parties requesting and granted intervention were:
Monsanto Company, Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc., Agrium, Inc., Community
Action Partnership Association of Idaho, PacifiCorp Idaho Industrial Customers, and Idaho
Conservation League.
Pursuant to agreement of the parties the following procedural scheduling is proposed
in this case:

The parties have been apprised that discovery is available pursuant to Commission
Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.221-234. Starting August 19, 2010, the Company agrees

(on a best efforts basis) to a 10-day turnaround of Answers to Production Requests. The parties
will coordinate discovery requests and responses so that they are able to comply with the
established prefile deadlines. No party submitting testimony pursuant to prefile deadline will be
required to respond to discovery within a five working day window preceding the prefile
deadline.
After reviewing the Commission’s calendar it is recommended that a technical
hearing in Case No. PAC-E-10-07 be scheduled for Boise commencing on Tuesday, November
30, 2010 in Boise, Idaho and continuing if necessary on December 1 and December 2, 2010, at
the same location. The end of the suspension period is December 28, 2010. Order No. 32001.
Additional scheduling for public workshop(s) and public hearing(s) in eastern Idaho
will be recommended later.
COMMISSION DECISION
Proposed for Commission approval is a schedule for prefile of testimony and
technical hearing. Does the Commission find the schedule acceptable?
