Quartz St. Because of facility limitations the hearing has been moved from the previously announced location at the Atlanta School. Commissioners will be in Atlanta on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. to take testimony from customers of Atlanta Power Company, which serves about 75 residential and commercial customers in the Elmore County community. The company is asking for a 60.6 percent increase in revenues. In June, the commission approved a 33.6 percent surcharge to pay for expenses related to the failure of the company’s hydroelectric turbine last March. The surcharge portion of the rate case will be revisited during this consideration of the company’s proposed overall general rate increase. Customers may file written comments in this case through Friday, Oct. 3. Comments are accepted via e-mail by accessing the commission’s homepage at http://www.puc.idaho.gov/www.puc.idaho.gov and clicking on "Comments & Questions."
