I recently received with my current monthly bill from Atlanta Power company a notice of a
request for a very large increase of the basic rate for consumer power along with a very high
proposed surcharge. My wife and I are full-time retired residents of Atlanta living on a
fixed income. This outrageousley high request for an increase will have a catastrophic effect
and hardship on many of the residents of our small community. This extremely high request is
unreasonable and should be carefully considered before any increase is granted. In my
responce of last last August, I asked for a audit by the PUC of Atlanta Power Company for the
past 3 to 5 years. To date I have not been informed of any action taken regarding this issue.
I would like to ask that the PUC Commission hold a public hearing in Atlanta to hear from the
public and there concerns.
