SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF CAPITOL WATER CORPORATION’S
APPLICATION TO INCREASE ITS RATES AND CHARGES FOR
WATER SERVICE IN THE STATE OF IDAHO; CASE NO. CAP-W-24-01.

On March 1, 2024, Capitol Water Corporation (“Company”) applied to increase its
rates and charges for water service. The Company requests an April 1, 2024, effective date.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline establishing a 21-day intervention period. Staff further recommends the
Commission suspend the Company’s proposed effective date for 30 days and five months,
consistent with Idaho Code § 61-622(4).
COMMISSION DECISION
