INTERRUPTION COMPENSATION COMMISSION ORDER NO.35888 -

BACKGROUND
On December 28,2022,Idaho Power Company ("Company")applied to the Idaho
Public Utilities Commission ("Commission")for an order prior to the start of the June 15 -
September 15 interruptionperiod:(1)establishing a compensation rate of $0.0734 per kilowatt
("kW")per hour of interruptionfor Large General Service Rates under Schedule 20,and $0.0835
per kW per hour of interruptionfor Large Power Service Rates ("Proposed Rates")or,in the
alternative,(2)deferring implementation of a compensation structure for the mandatory
interruptionrequirement of Schedule 20 until evaluation of cost assignment responsibility for
Schedule 20 was completed in a general rate case.
On August 14,2023,the Commission issued Order No.35888 approving the Company's
proposed interim interruptioncompensation rates under Schedule 20 for Large General Service
and Large Power Service to be set at $0.0734 per kW per hour of interruptionand $0.0835 per
kW per hour of interruptionrespectively.
STAFF ANALYSIS
On August 15,2023,the Company submitted a Compliance Filing with a new Schedule
20 tariff sheet identified as Original Sheet No.20-8 in compliance with Commission Order No.

35888.Staff reviewed the Compliance Filing along with Original Sheet No.20-8 and confirmed
it is consistent with the Commission's findings in Commission Order No.35888.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission approve the Company's Schedule 20 Original Sheet
No.20-8 filed on August 15,2023,reflecting the Commission's findings in Commission Order
No.35888 with an effective date of August 14,2023.
