SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF INTERMOUNTAIN GAS COMPANY’S TARIFF
ADVICE NO. 23-02; CASE NO. INT-G-23-01.
On May 5, 2023, Intermountain Gas Company (“Company”) filed Tariff Advice No. 23-
02 proposing a revision to General Service Provisions, Section C, Sheet 3. As currently
approved, Section 3.2 directs that the Company will charge applicants for the relocation or
abandonment of gas facilities owned by the Company if requested by the applicant/customer.
The Company’s proposed update removes the required charge for abandonment because safely
and timely removing or safe-guarding abandoned facilities is to protect the public and not to
convenience customers.
On May 30, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure, establishing a June 15, 2023, public comment deadline and a June 29, 2023,
Company reply deadline. Order No. 35793.
On May 26, 2023, Staff sent its First Production Requests with six requests to the
Company. Staff requested an expedited response time of June 2, 2023. On June 2, 2023, the
Company’s counsel emailed Staff’s counsel indicating it would not be able to meet Staff’s
expedited response timeline for the First Production Requests.1
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff anticipates needing additional time to review the Company’s responses to the First
Production Requests before it can file comments and does not believe it can meet the established

June 15, 2023 deadline for public comments. Staff proposes amending the public comment
deadline to June 26, 2023 and the Company reply deadline to July 7, 2023.

the Company reply deadline to July 7, 2023?
